Phillip Aguirre’s 40 year career in art and antique restoration is based in a classical approach.

Aguirre apprenticed in England and France where he mastered the European methods of wood, metal, painting and ceramic restoration. His understanding of various mediums, coupled with a genuine fascination of the history of restoration techniques as well as evolving techniques, has lead to consultations and restorations of a wide range of projects (replacement of copper leaf ceiling, repair of Chinoisiere watercolor on rice paper, etc). Mr. Aguirre is regarded as a highly skillful, inventive and dedicated craftsman, which has awarded him contracts in the private homes of collectors throughout the United States

Mr. Aguirre focuses on blending the intent of the original craftsman, revitalizing and stabilizing the piece, along with understanding and respecting the current owner’s point-of-view.
